We provide a variety of radiology services that include diagnostic radiological procedures. A few of the procedures linked below may not yet be available at Valley Radiology.
Diagnostic imaging is the use of medical imaging procedures to diagnose health conditions. Used in combination with other medical exams and tests, diagnostic imaging plays a key role in the prevention, identification and assessment of many health conditions.
Imaging Disciplines By Body Part
Many radiologists specialize in the imaging of specific body parts. For instance, a radiologist specializing in musculoskeletal radiology works primarily with conditions affecting bones, muscles and joints. By specializing in a specific part of the body, a radiologist is able to develop in-depth knowledge of the most effective imaging procedures and treatments for that part of the body.
Many radiologists specialize in the imaging of particular patient populations. For instance, a radiologist specializing in pediatric imaging works primarily with children. By specializing in the imaging of a particular patient population, a radiologist is able to develop in-depth knowledge of the experiences common to that patient population, as well as the most effective imaging procedures and treatments for conditions common to that population.
